96 Tests PN: B112471

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P12 - Human CXCL16 Ab-bead). PN: B112471A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-Human CXCL16 conjugated to AimPlex Bead S4P12.

25x Biotin-detection Ab (Human CXCL16 Biotin-dAb). PN: B112471B. One vial containingv100 µL of biotinylated anti-Human CXCL16.

Lyophilized Standard Mix-Human Group 6, Panel A, 7-Plex. PN: HG61007. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant 6Ckine, BRAK, BCA-1, CTACK, CCL28, ENA-78, and CXCL16.  Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying human CXCL16. Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Human Group 6.  To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex NR Basic Kit (PN: P100001) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

Description:

CXCL16 (Chemokine C-X-C motif ligand 16) or small-inducible cytokine B16 (SCYB16) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family. CXCL16 is expressed as a cell surface bound molecule, as well as a soluble chemokine. CXCL16 is produced by dendritic cells found in the T cell zones of lymphoid organs, and by cells found in the red pulp of the spleen. Cells that bind and migrate in response to CXCL16 include several subsets of T cells, and natural killer T (NKT) cells. Expression of CXCL16 is induced by the inflammatory cytokines IFN-gamma and TNF-alpha. The administration of folinic acid, which forces the methylation of CXCL 16, induces high levels of methylation of the CXCL 16 gene promoter in colon, ileum and lung and causes iNKT cells accumulation in these tissues. Colonization of neonatal GF mice, but not in adult mice, with a normal microbiota decreases hypermethylation levels of CXCL 16. Diseases associated with CXCL16 include Xantho-granulomatous cholecystitis and Cholecystitis.
