96 Tests PN: B211245

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S5P5 - Mouse IL-25 Ab-bead). PN: B211245A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-mouse IL-25 conjugated to AimPlex Bead S5P5.

25x Biotin-detection Ab (Mouse IL-25 Biotin-dAb). PN: B211245B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anti-mouse IL-25.

Lyophilized Standard Mix - Mouse Group 3 Panel A, 8-Plex. PN: MG3008A. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant mouse BTC, IL-1RA, IL-9, IL-23p19, IL-25, Leptin, LIF and VEGF.  Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying human Mouse IL-25/IL-17E. Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Mouse Group 3.  To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex Mouse/Rat Basic Kit (PN: P200201) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Description:

Interleukin-25 (IL-25), also known as interleukin-17E (IL-17E), is a cytokine that shares the sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine can induce NF-κB activation, and stimulate the production of IL8. Both this cytokine and IL17B are ligands for the cytokine receptor IL17RB. Studies of the similar gene in mice suggested that this cytokine may be a pro-inflammatory cytokine favoring Th2-type immune response. IL-25 is a cytokine that belongs to the IL-17 cytokine family and is secreted by type 2 helper T cells (Th2) and mast cells. IL-25 induces the production of other cytokines, including IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13 in multiple tissues, which stimulate the expansion of eosinophils. This cytokine is an important molecule controlling immunity of the gut and has been implicated in chronic inflammation associated with the gastrointestinal tract. IL-25 can kill some types of breast cancer cells.
