96 Tests PN: B411175

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S5P1 - NHP MCP-1 Ab-bead). PN: B411175A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-human MCP-1 conjugated to AimPlex Bead S5P1.

25x Biotin-detection Ab (NHP MCP-1 Biotin-dAb). PN: B411175B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anti-human MCP-1.

Lyophilized Standard Mix-NHP Group 1 Panel B. PN: HG10011. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant Eotaxin, IL-1β, IL-1RA, IL-8, IL-12p70, IL-22, IP-10, MCP-1, MCP-3, and RANTES. Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying NHP CCL2/SCYA2/MCP-1.  Can be multiplexed with other analytes in NHP Group 1.  To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex NR Basic Kit (PN: P100001T) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Description:

MCP-1 or Monocyte Chemoattractant Protein 1 (Accession P61275) is one of the most frequently studied cytokines. MCP-1 is a small cytokine of the CC subfamily secreted primarily by monocytes, though it is also secreted in microcytic, astrocytic, mesangial, endothelial, epithelial cells and even adipokines. MCP-1 regulates migration of monocytes, NK cells, and memory T-cells. Elevated MCP-1 may change adipocyte function. Insulin-stimulated glucose uptake and expression of various adipogenic genes have demonstrated to be affected by elevated levels MCP-1. Changes in glucose-uptake has correlations to metabolic and various central nervous system diseases. MCP-1 has been shown to be a potential intervention point for treatment of sclerosis, atherosclerosis, insulin-resistant diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis.
