96 Tests PN: B312225

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P8 - rat KC ab-bead). PN: B312225A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-rat KC conjugated to AimPlex Bead S4P8.

25x Biotin-detection Ab (Rat KC Biotin-dAb). PN: B312225B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anti-rat KC.

Lyophilized Standard Mix - Rat Group 1 Panel B, 12-Plex. PN: RG10012. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant rat Eotaxin, G-CSF, GM-CSF, IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-5, IL-12p70, IL-13, KC, IP-10, MIP-1α, and MIP-2.  Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying Rat CXCL1/MGSA/GROα/KC. Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Rat Group 1. To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex Mouse/Rat Basic Kit (PN: P200201) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Description:

The chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 1 (CXCL1) is a small cytokine belonging to the CXC chemokine family that was previously called GRO1 oncogene, GROα, KC, neutrophil-activating protein 3 (NAP-3) and melanoma growth stimulating activity, alpha (MSGA-α).  CXCL1 is secreted by human melanoma cells, has mitogenic properties and is implicated in melanoma pathogenesis. CXCL1 is expressed by macrophages, neutrophils and epithelial cells, and has neutrophil chemoattractant activity. CXCL1 plays a role in spinal cord development by inhibiting the migration of oligodendrocyte precursors and is involved in the processes of angiogenesis, inflammation, wound healing, and tumorigenesis. An initial study in mice showed evidence that CXCL1 decreased the severity of multiple sclerosis and may offer a neuro-protective function. Diseases associated with CXCL1 include chronic granulomatous disease and melanoma.
