96 Tests PN: B114572

Components:

45x Ab-conjugated beads (S4P7 - Human IGFBP-6 Ab-bead). PN: B114572A. One vial containing 100 µL of anti-Human IGFBP-6 conjugated to AimPlex Bead S4P7.

25x Biotin-detection (Human IGFBP-6 Biotin-dAb). PN: B114572B. One vial containing 100 µL of biotinylated anti-Human IGFBP-6.

Lyophilized Standard Mix-Human Group 8, Panel A, 7-Plex. PN: HG81007. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant BMP-2, BMP-4, IGFBP-3, IGFBP-5, IGFBP-6, TIMP-1, and TIMP-2.  Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits.

Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying human Human IGFBP-6. Can be multiplexed with other analytes in Human Group 8.  To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex NR Basic Kit (PN: P100001) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Note: Some specimens may contain high levels of IGFBP-6. For normal serum and plasma samples, pre-diluting samples 300 folds with the Sample Dilution Buffer (PN: P830100) is recommended. Dilution factors should be optimized according to specific experimental conditions and sample types.

Storage:  2-8 C in the dark.

Important: Sodium azide forms explosive compounds with heavy metals. These products contain <0.05% (w/w) azide which with repeated contact with lead and copper commonly found in plumbing drains may result in the buildup of shock sensitive compounds. Dispose in accordance with regulations from your institute.

For Research Use Only.  Not for use in diagnostic procedures.

Description:

Human IGFBP-6 is an O-glycosylated protein. It is abundant in cerebrospinal fluid and has a marked preferential binding affinity for IGF-2 over IGF-1. Levels of IGFBP-6 (and also of IGFBP-5) have been found to be increased in human breast cancer cells treated with estradiol and IGF-1 and may thus contribute to mitogenesis.  Diseases associated with IGFBP6 include exfoliative ichthyosis and insulin-like growth factor I.
