Lyophilized Standard Mix-NHP Group 1 Panel A, 7-Plex. PN: NG10007. One vial containing lyophilized recombinant IFNγ, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-10, IL-17A, and TNFα. Note: If multiple analyte kits on the above target list are ordered as a panel, only one vial of standard mix is supplied for those analyte kits. 


Application: Optimal antibody pair and antigen standard for assaying NHP IL-17A.  Can be multiplexed with other analytes in NHP Group 1.  To be used in conjunction with the AimPlex NR Basic Kit (PN: P100001) and a diluent kit. Refer to the AimPlex Multiplex Immunoassay User Manual and kit inserts for the assay procedure.

Description:

Interleukin 17A is a pro-inflammatory cytokine, secreted by T cells, primarily Th17 cells. IL-17A mediates NF-kappa B activity and can activate the expression of IL-6 and the enzyme prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2. Over expression of IL-17A has been associated with multiple sclerosis, irritable bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, COPD, and ocular diseases. However, there is more recent research to suggest that IL-17A may have beneficial effects on the gut. Active form vitamin D has been linked to impaired production of IL-17 production by Th17 cells.
